Here's some of the projects I've been working on these past few months:

Psyché - A Metro Film Club Production

A chapter of sorts in the story of a young man discovering new and extraordinary abilities. Currently in post-production. Hopefully, it will be done in time for Summer film fests.

Featuring: TL Smoot as Adam & Jad Meouchy as Dr. Ellston

Directed and shot by Rick Rock | Editing by TL Smoot

Short film written by Rick Rock and Jad Meouchy

Three Faces of Eve "The Culling" - Music video. Currently in post-production.

Genre: Death Metal / Grindcore

Directed and shot by Rick Rock

Smash TV! - Pilot for Channel 10, Fairfax County Public Access (Virginia & DC).*

Featuring hosted segments with irreverent sketch and reality based comedy, short films, and music videos of DC Metro area bands.

Hosted by Rick Rock

Co-Hosted by Johnny "Sicko" Cantrell

*( I am currently re-editing the pilot episode filmed back in 2004 and using the original hosted segments with new skits and more current music videos. I will get this show on the air if it's the last thing I do! )

I've been busy with a ton of things, but I'm going to post examples of my most recent projects here later this month. Some screen caps and maybe a few quick video previews.

Stay tuned.

On May 23rd, 2007, I took my website down after deciding that I was no longer happy with the material I had been presenting to the masses for the last seven years and opted to cease operations. While it was never my intention to completely give up and let my website disappear, I did decide that what I wanted to do was take a well-deserved break from worrying about its upkeep as I had been doing for a very long time. It has been a wonderful medium for expressing myself and sharing my creativity with the rest of the world and I've always appreciated the nice comments and e-mails I've received.

So now, five months later, I am restarting my website again from scratch. OK, so the layout is recycled, but that's about it. Primarily, none of my previous videos will be available anymore and I have removed my post archives as well. I do realize that there were a lot of people interested in my videos and to me, a lot of them are still hilarious. But as of recent, I've ultimately decided that the majority of the material is old and not what I want to be known for anymore. For those who really, really want to see my back catalog again, contact me via e-mail or AIM and I will send you a link to a folder containing all of my previous work. You won't find them on YouTube, either, as the proprietors of that website saw it fit to delete my account and all of my uploaded shorts. While I personally thought it was unfair for a site that is notorious for copyright violations to be so stringent on the quality of my submissions, I felt that it was another indicator that I should be doing something better with my efforts than getting my old material more exposure. So to this end, I will be trying my best to not expose any new visitors to my past exhibitions.

Whew...enough babbling for now. I will be updating the site with other pertinent info and trying to get new stuff up that was done while my site was in limbo. And for the old fans and friends that are here reading this, you have my sincerest thanks for sticking around.
